Shortly after 6:00pm Tuesday evening we had a segment of our network serving 75% of customers go down. The problem was traced to one of our main backhauls which rarely ever go down. Rebooted the link and everything appeard fine and was up and running by around 7:45pm. About 15 minutes later at around 8:00pm the backhaul was out again. This time it was completely dead and non-repairable. A new backhaul was installed and placed in service and running by 10:15pm. As of right now 11:30pm all the network is running 100%, total outage time about 4 hours. Thanks goes to all the customers who reported the outage and waited patiently for the repairs.

A lot of our customers have been experiencing slow downs or timeouts for the past couple days. This is due to ice buildup on antennas. Please be patient as there isn't much that can be done until the ice melts.

Yesterday approximately around 12:15pm our uplink provider's main server went down. This caused an outage for all Wavelinc customers and lasted for about 6 hours. This is the first time in 3 years that our uplink provider has gone down for more than a short period of time. I would like to thank all Wavelinc customer's for bearing with us through the outage.

As most of you know Bucyrus is in a state of emergency right now with flooding in certain area's of the city. This has affected a main tower in Bucyrus as we are currently running on generator power and will continue to for some time. Please be patient as we are working round the clock to keep internet service online for all our customers. Everyone should be online except when we are working on our generator which shouldn't be down for more than 30 minutes at a time. Thank for for your patience.

Yesterday we installed a new email spam firewall which will significantly clean out all the spam in your email if you use our email service. So far it has already proven very effective and we have put some statistics on the front of the website that are updated in real-time so you can see how effective it is. You don't have to do anything to take advantage of the spam protection as it does everything it needs to do on our end. Yet just another way Wavelinc is setting the benchmarks for the rest of the competition.
